Corio Terrace is just off the main road, past Investigator College GOOLWA They are authorised carers for the turtles in the Goolwa area & Eastern Fleurieu School, Milang Campus 08 8537 0223 for turtles found in this area. Donations can be posted to; Native Animal Network c/- Chris Smith Goolwa Turtle Rehabilitation PO BOX 336 GOOLWA SA 5214 Also visit moshcc.om.au & click on the Save The Turtles tab at top of the page to make a donation for the Milang Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. The turtles are thoroughly cleaned and also need to be de-toxified. Then fed up to restore their condition for release elsewhere which is co-ordinated by the Department for Environment & Heritage) or hibernated for the winter period. DO NOT RETURN ANY TURTLE FOUND INTO THE RIVER... OR ATTEMPT TO CLEAN THEM YOURSELF. They must be taken to the appointed carers. You can also assist the Native Animal Network by visiting their "Charity Barn" at 27 Corio Terrace which is open on Fridays and Saturdays 9-3pm.
